Q. What is MunchEm?
A. MunchEm is a website and app built to save you time and money when ordering food. MunchEm provide online ordering systems to restaurants and delivery services. As a portal, it allows you find nearby restaurants that are using our software, view their entire menu and select exactly what you want. Place your order and pay online or pay when you pick up. Pick up or have your food delivered from restaurants that offer delivery without waiting in lines or call waiting. You can even compare 3rd party delivery services that may be available.
Q. Do I need to pay extra to order using this site/app?
A. Not as long as the restaurant you order from is not charging any convenience fees you don't have to pay extra. Restaurants can choose to charge convenience. Our goal is to provide best online ordering and deliver system to restaurants and delivery services which offer the best possible experience for customers.
Q. Why should I use MunchEm instead of calling the restaurant?
A. Restaurants that are busy want to use online ordering when they have no time to answer their phones. Apart from that delivery companies in your area may want to facilitate delivery when the restaurant doesn't deliver. Apart from those reasons, We'll answer this question with another question: Have you ever had a bad experience ordering by phone?

When you order through our website you will never be put on hold or get a busy signal. You won't have to relay your order through someone who speaks a different language or has an accent. Every question you could possibly have about the menu is already answered. Your order is transmitted to the restaurant in an accurate fashion. It’s much less frustrating than communicating an order over the phone. You won’t have to wait in line for your food if you order ahead for pick up. Give it a try and see for yourself!
Q. Does MunchEm Deliver?
A. MunchEm does not provide delivery services for its restaurant partners. However, we make it possible for you to order for delivery from restaurants that provide their own delivery or delivery services who offer delivery from near by restaurants. We may also list estimated delivery costs from 3rd party delivery services that deliver for our restaurant partners.
Q. If there is a problem with my pickup order, whom should I contact?
A. You should contact the restaurant directly if the problem is with pickup order. MunchEm is not responsible for missing items. If you find a problem with your takeout order, please reach out the restaurant directly to request refund. If you are not happy with restaurant ability to pack items correctly and not taking responsibility, please review them so the reviews can help other customers. Please note that we provide software to restaurants and list the restaurants in MunchEm website that use our service.
Q. If there is a problem with my delivery, whom should I contact?
A. MunchEm does not provide delivery services, we can't provide response and offer support. If restaurant offers delivery, you should call the restaurant. If the listed restaurant uses a delivery service to provide delivery, you should call the delivery service. You can find their email or phone number in your order confirmation email.
Q. Can MunchEm refund my payment to restaurant, if it offers poor service or misplaced items?
A. MunchEm goal is help restaurants get all the money by directly sending payments to restaurants or delivery services. We believe all restaurants that we work with provide great service. We recommend that customers should reach out to restaurants/delivery service companies directly (contact information listed in your order email) for any missing items/refunds. MunchEm does not refund as it doesn't accept payment from customers. Your money is directly processed by restaurant payment processing system. Please contact restaurant or delivery service for all refunds related to your payment.
Q. Does MunchEm take my credit card information?
A. We don't accept payments directly in most of the cases and the amount directly goes to the restaurants payment accounts. Through our app and website we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Cards, the amount is charged by restaurant payment processing company.We process payments via Clover, Stripe, Square or PayPal based upon restaurant or delivery service preferences. You can also pay restaurants/drivers with cash based upon their configuration.
Q. Do restaurants ever receive my Credit Card / PayPal information?
A. Our systems are secure. We use https to encrypt and pass the information directly to Clover/Square/Stripe or PayPal. In some cases, we communicate to the restaurant the name on the card as well as the last 4 digits to aid in fraud prevention so that they can verify information.
Q. What address should I use for placing delivery orders?
A. Use the street address you want your food delivered to. MunchEm can store your addresses (if you are registered) and allow you to use them for future orders. Please make sure you are reachable by providing us with your mobile phone. Drivers should be able to reach you to inform you if there is traffic, restaurant's busy, weather conditions etc. that are delaying your delivery.
Q. Why I am not getting Munchies when I place orders?
A. You only receive Munchies if the restaurant is participating in our Munchies Rewards program. We offer rewards to increase the benefit to customers so that restaurants can build loyalty. But it is a choice of restaurant to choose the rewards program. If they don't choose to participate, you will not receive any munchies.
Q. Is there a guaranteed delivery time?
A. MunchEm doesn't deliver. You need to check with the restaurant or delivery service if they offer any guarantee time. We simply suggest that they most likely doesn't guarantee delivery time. As you know unexpected drivers issues, uncontrollable factors such as weather, traffic, the kind of dish ordered, etc. can affect the delivery time or they can choose to not deliver. Any complaints and/or inquiries, please contact the restaurant or delivery service you ordered from in case the order is delayed by more than the stipulated time so that they can follow-up on the order. Please note that MunchEm does not deliver.
Q. What do I do in case there is some problem with my order?
A. Please call or email the restaurant or delivery service you placed your order with. Their representatives will assist you with any problems.
Q. Can I cancel an order after placing it?
A. Please check with the restaurant. You cannot cancel an order for which the restaurant may have started processing. In case the restaurant has not started processing the order, you can call the restaurant phone # or send an email (which is provided in your order details).
Q. I can't find my restaurant...
A. If you cannot find your restaurant on MunchEm, that restaurant might not be listed with MunchEm yet. You can recommend a restaurant, just Sign Up with us and we can bring the restaurant online within 2 days once the restaurant contacts MunchEm.
Q. What if internet connection is lost at any step in between?
A. If you received an order ID, your order was sent to the restaurant. If you did not, your transaction did not complete and your order was not placed. You would have to place the order again, in case you have any further trouble please email us at support@munchem.com
Q. How do I place an order?
A. Visit MunchEm.com and enter your current address (or where you'd like the food delivered) in to the search box. View nearby restaurants and pick the one that tickles your fancy. Select the items that make your tummy rumble. Once you think you've built the perfect feast, select Pick Up or Delivery. Enter a Promo Code if you have one! Select “Check Out”. Enter your information so we know who you are! Select “Submit & pay in person” or “Pay with PayPal or card". Once your order is submitted, you will receive a confirmation number.
Q. What type of payments do the restaurants accept?
A. They’ll accept payments in person and/or online. Some restaurants allow you to use your PayPal account or pay with a credit card. They accept Visa, American Express, Master Card, and Discover.
Q. What if I have a special request for an order?
A. You can add a special request to an order via the special instructions box located under each item chosen as well as in a final instructions box accessible at checkout. However, keep in mind that the special request may not be possible or it could incur an additional charge that would not be reflected on the total. If an additional charge is required, you will be contacted in order to make said payment.
Q. How do I use a coupon?
A. On the right side of the screen your cart will fill up with your selected items. Once you have completed this list, at the bottom just above "Check Out" it will show "Get deal," that is where the promo code is typed. Then you simply hit get deal and the code will be deducted in the value of that code. In the app however, the cart will fill up in the top right corner of page, You must select the cart, and then on the next page "Order Details" you will see "Redeem," just before the total fee, and right under your itemized list. Here you will enter your promo code and then hit Redeem to receive your discount. Keep in mind that in order for the promo code to work, you have to be logged in and pay with either PayPal or a credit card.
