Checkmate, a digital ordering company for restaurants, has raised $10 million in Series B funding led by Tiger Global.

This investment follows their acquisition of AI supplier VoiceBite earlier this year. Checkmate aims to expand its AI-driven phone and drive-thru ordering services to medium and large restaurant chains. The technology is already profitable, capable of managing 95% of calls without human input.

CEO Vishal Agarwal emphasized that this funding will enhance technologies that help restaurants streamline operations and boost digital revenue. The growth of AI voice ordering is gaining traction as restaurants seek to automate processes and cut costs.
